Rant that is not going under a cut because I want it to be seen.
My best friend just recently broke up with her boyfriend because she wasn’t happy with him anymore. A few minutes ago he sent her a text saying that she didn’t know love because she “doesn’t know fatherly love” because she’s never met her dad, she hardly ever sees her mom, because her brother’s gay and “love is defined between a man and a woman”, and because she doesn’t have a relationship with Christ.
I’m trying very hard not to tell him off because she’s asked me not to because it will only undoubtedly make him treat her worse, so I’ll say what I’m thinking here.
First of all, no one has the right to tell someone else that they don’t know what love is, especially based on their family situations. Let me tell you, this girl is probably one of the most loved people I have ever met, and her family fucking adores her. Just because she doesn’t know her biological father doesn’t mean she “doesn’t know fatherly love.” She grew up with her step dad and grandfather as her father figures, and she loves them and they love her.
Secondly, no, she doesn’t live with her mom, but for fuck sake her mother LOVES her, with all her heart. With ALL her heart.
Thirdly, you do not tell someone they don’t know love BECAUSE THEIR BROTHER IS GAY. Guess what asshole, love is love, no matter what or who. You may think that your judgmental, insensitive self thinks that you are some higher power who has the ability to define love, but you are not. You obviously don’t understand the concept of love at all if you think it can only happen between a man and a woman. Also, this is her BROTHER. Her brother who she loves with all her heart and let me tell you, he fucking loves her back. If she’s experienced love at all, it is definitely from him. So shut your mouth, you little dick.
Finally, it’s great that your Christian, good for you, gold star for you, but just because she’s not doesn’t mean she can’t know love. Guess what, asshole, NOT EVERYONE IN THE WORLD IS A CHRISTIAN and despite what you may think, you have no right to say that you are right or shove your GOD DAMN beliefs down other peoples throats. If anyone is going to hell, it’s you.
Hate to break this to you dude, but she broke up with you because you were immature and insensitive and just a general douche bag. So stop playing god because you are not god and you are being everything that the basis of your religion says not to be. Go to hell, Caleb.
